A.M. Nuggets: What About the Year of Green Day?

Ok I know yesterday I said 2009 will be the year of U2, with their album No Line on the Horizon due out in March and buzz about a major tour. And yes, on Monday I said maybe this will be the year of Bruce Springsteen, what with his new record Working on a Dream out this month and big tour plans in the offing.
But what I didn't realize is Green Day is also in the mix for 2009 - their follow-up to American Idiot is due out sometime in early summer. Word is the band will tour to support the album, which as anyone who saw the American Idiot tour could tell you, is very exciting news.
