Classic Recording Studios: Pasadena Sounds
Based outside of Houston -- in nearby Pasadena, Texas -- and once owned by impressario Huey Meaux, Pasadena Sounds was where Meux and Charlie Booth laid down tracks for B.J. Thomas, including I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry and Mama.
Considered one of the hottest studios in the area in the 1960s, Pasadena attracted a wealth of important figures, including Glen Spreen (an aranger for the legendary Chips Moman).
